Your First Visit to Our Helena Practice

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!

Prior to seeing  the Doctor, you will need to fill out some paperwork which will include your medical history, notice of privacy, informed consent forms as well as insurance or other payment information. We strive to keep the paperwork to a minimum.

The visit with the Doctor always begins with a consultation to determine if chiropractic is the right approach to your problems. If not you will not be charged for the visit.

If chiropractic is the right choice the examination will follow. It is important that a thorough examination be performed prior to any care.  Should x-rays or other imaging be required arrangements will be made do have these done and a follow up visit will be scheduled to discuss the findings.  Patients can chose to have imaging done at any location, however we recommend the Helena Physicians Clinic. All imaging is read by a medical radiologist as well as Dr. Fife. If no imaging or other testing is required the exam and first treatment can be performed on the first visit.

Patients should plan on at least one hour for the initial consultation and examination.

Dr Jeffrey Asks some important questions of interest to Helena residents - Chiropractor Helena Dr Jeffrey Asks...

What causes subluxations?
Chiropractors acknowledge three types of stress: physical, chemical and emotional. When the adaptive capacity of your body is compromised, weakened areas along the spine can become involved. Muscles tighten, spinal joints lock up and nearby nerves are affected. The purpose of chiropractic care is to find these areas and restore balance, alignment and motion.
What's the difference between maintenance, prevention and wellness?
Maintenance chiropractic care is an attempt to keep a dynamic, ever-changing and adapting organism (you) in a static relationship with your environment. Preventive chiropractic care is mostly about early detection. Wellness chiropractic care is an attempt to optimize our health and be all that you were designed to be.
